Part 2: The How-To Guide: Info & Tips From Pros

you can see from the screenshots, there are quite a few headings,
each covering a different aspect of deck building or peripheral
construction. Underneath each of these headings are a dozen or so
fairly short but insightful tips on everything you need to know about
basic construction, including quite a few tips from professionals in
each particular area of their expertise. As you see below, the text
comes in small bites (first the header screen, then the subject) so
you can run through them fairly quickly unless you need to
familiarize yourself with a new concept.

note the inclusion of the video track controls. These short movies
are available to review the practices of the Pros, as they go through
the functions of hammering, sawing, nail pulling, etc. The equivalent
text of a short book on carpentry is included right there on the CD.
Despite your familiarity with the various headings, I strongly
recommend going through the entire text as a refresher course. It
will take just a few hours and I assure you that it could save far
more of your time in the long run. Now, on to Part 3...
