he radial wave icon is clicked and the various parameters of its dialog box at right are adjusted according to the tutorial. The radial wave icon is then dragged and dropped onto the time line at frames 20 and 30. Since frame 20 and 30 both have identical wave settings, one must be changed or else there will be no waves. The icon at frame 30 on the time line is double clicked which launches the time line operation dialog box. This time the set current settings button is clicked which launches the radial wave dialog box again. The half waves are set from 1 to 15 and the phase is set from 0 to 360. Next an ellipse icon is dragged from the tool box and dropped at frames 20 and 30 on the time line. The ellipse icon at frame 20 is double clicked which launches the previously discussed area selection dialog box above. The make area selection now button is clicked and a small area in the center of the tiger image is selected. As previously mentioned, there is no indication of the selection such as the marching ants that other applications have. The ellipse icon at frame 30 is double clicked and the process repeated however nearly the entire tiger image is selected this time. This will cause the ripple to start in the center at frame 20 then radiate outward to frame 30. Next the perspective icon at frame 1 is double clicked and the previously discussed time line operation dialog box is launched. The specify action image button is clicked which will launch time line action image dialog box above.

The specify image file button is clicked and the user now navigates to and selects the atiger.jpg file. After the OK button is clicked the perspective icon is double clicked once more to again launch the time line operation dialog box. This time the specify source image button is clicked which launches the time line source dialog box. It is identical to the time line action dialog box. The user navigates to and selects the ladyfrog.flc file. I clicked the video sequence radio box and then clicked the OK button. A series of animation frames are spread from frame 1 to frame 30 on the time line. Since this animation is only desired to frame 19, the end of it at frame 30 is dragged back to frame 19. See the above screen shot. Next the generate button is clicked and in a few seconds a 5.6 MB .avi file is generated. The nearby .gif animation was created from the .avi file. Observe it closely and you will see that the girl to frog morph continues as it tumbles into the tiger image. That concludes the tutorial section of the documentation.
